National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, commonly known as NEET, is the most important exam for all students who aspire to be future Doctors or Medical Researchers. NEET was introduced in 2013 which replaced the All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT) and all individual Medical Entrance Exams conducted by States and Private Institutions. However, if you wish to study at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi; Postgraduate Institute for Medical Education and Research in Chandigarh; Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER) in Pondicherry, qualifying NEET 2018 would not get you admission into these colleges as they were set up by separate laws. NEET UG 2018 is the exam for candidates who would like to study undergraduate medical courses like MBBS or Dental courses (BDS) in a Government Medical College or a Private Medical College in India from 2018. NEET-UG exam is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and NEET PG 2018 is conducted by National Board of Examinations. NEET-PG is for candidates who wish to continue their study in the field of medicine.
NEET 2018 will be held in the month of May 2018 and the registration process starts in January 2018 at www.cbseneet.nic.in. Candidates must note the important dates and must register on time. Almost 12 lakh MBBS/BDS aspirants appeared for NEET 2017 for 52,304 MBBS/BDS seats. As so many candidates compete for a limited number of Medical seats, CBSE will publish a cut-off score for NEET 2018. The successful candidates who qualify NEET 2018 will have to take part in the counseling process which is scheduled to be held from August 2018 . Candidates must note that they must register for NEET 2018 Counseling and the allotment of seats will happen online in two phases: First phase for 15% all Indian seats and Second phase for will be only an up-gradation of choice selected in First phase. Candidates who wish to qualify NEET 2018 must note that only by through study, use of good study materials, and practicing several NEET mock papers they can ace NEET 2018. As there is negative marking for each wrong answer, candidates must not fall for guess work as its risky. A single mark difference could push you many ranks back.
